The restaurant Lindenhof was founded on 21th of September 1971 by Herbert and Mathilde Fetzer as an guesthouse. The name came from the former farm of Edmund Fetzer´s grandparents whose farm was called Lindenhof. Several large lime trees stood in the yard. So the name Lindenhof was inevitable for the restaurant.
In the early years, products from the company´s own farm were sold. In the winter of 1974/75 Lindenhof startes a weekly slaughtery event where the homemade sausage specialities were sold. This made the Lindenhof very well known in the region. In 1978, Edmund Fetzer, a qualified cook, took over his parents´business with his wife, Beate. From the very beginning, our aim was to present an excellent cuisine with regional components at Fetzer´s Restaurant Lindenhof. In the years we got very famous for white asparagus in the whole region.
Our game dishes are prepared exclusively made with fresh game from the "Hunsrück-Eifel"-Area.
